Digitalization

IMPACT OF DIGITALIZATION ON LEADERSHIP, CULTURE, AND ORGANIZATION OF COMPANIES AS WELL AS ON THE SKILLS OF EMPLOYEES

An overwhelming majority of Swiss executives see opportunities in digitization, both for themselves personally and for their companies. This is one of the results of a survey on the impact of digitization on corporate management, corporate organization, and employee skills, which Roy C. Hitchman AG conducted in April 2016 among around 283 executives.

This very optimistic assessment was the basic attitude throughout the entire 7th Hitchman Executive Panel. At the very least, it shows that most Swiss companies are confident about the changes in the corporate world driven by technology and are open to innovation. But are they really as well equipped for digitization as they think in their self-assessment, or are they underestimating the complexity of the transformation underway?

To get to the bottom of this question, Roy C. Hitchman AG presented the results of the survey to a panel of experts. The very complementary panel included management consultants, academia, and research, plus a think tank, the banking world, and a major Swiss media company.
